Customers want a price before they email you. Here are your three options, from simplest to fastest.
The simplest start. The customer fills in a form and attaches the file, and you quote by email. It's free with most website builders, but every price is still on you, and the customer waits.
Some shops add a calculator where customers type a size or weight. It's quick, but customers rarely know the weight of their part, so the price is often wrong and you end up re-quoting anyway.
The customer uploads the 3D file, picks the material, quantity and turnaround, and sees a price right away. The software measures the actual part, so the price follows the real geometry. This is what Layers3D's auto quoter does, and there are other tools that do it too.
Most auto quoters give you a short script tag to paste into your page. On Shopify there's often an app or a storefront option instead. The Layers3D help guides show each step.

Questions
No. With most auto quoters you paste one script tag into your page, the same way you'd add a YouTube video.
Only if you want them to. In Layers3D, customer prices stay off until you turn them on, so you can quote the first jobs by hand and compare.
