Send an estimate

Price the order, check the email, and send the customer a link to see the price and approve it.

Once an order has a price, the customer still cannot see it. You send it from the order.

Send it

  1. Open the order. Make sure every part has a price. If one is missing, you get a Price every part first box with Use the calculator's prices or Type the prices.
  2. Find the quote bar near the parts. It shows the total and Not sent.
  3. Click Preview to see exactly what they get. The Email and Estimate tabs show the email and the printable estimate.
  4. Click Send quote, then OK.

Typed a new price but not saved it? Save first, or the quote goes out at the old total.

What the customer gets

An email called Your quote is ready with their parts and a See your price and approve button. The price is behind that button, not in the email. The page shows the price, a Download PDF link, Approve this quote and Ask for a change.

After you send

The order moves to Waiting / Quoted. The label on the quote bar changes as things happen: Sent, Viewed, then Accepted or Declined. Need to send it again? The button now says Send again.

Customer said yes on the phone? Go to Estimates & Invoices and click Mark accepted on their estimate. It moves into Orders for review. They are not emailed.
