Ask a customer to confirm qty and material

Parts came in with no quantity or no material? Send the customer one email and they fill it in on their order page.

Customers often send files with no quantity or no material. Those parts now show a Qty? or Material? pill on the order instead of a quiet x1, and a box above the parts says how many are missing details.

Ask them

  1. Open the order. In the missing details box, press Ask and the customer's name to confirm.
  2. For each part, tick Quantity, Material or both.
  3. Under They pick from, press the materials they can choose. Not sure, you pick is always offered.
  4. Add a note if it helps, like why one material is better.
  5. On a new request, leave the 3-day reminder ticked to nudge them if they don't answer.
  6. Press Send to and their name.

They get one email with a Confirm my parts button. It opens a Confirm your parts card on their order page where they type the numbers and tap a material.

When they answer

You get told, and the box turns green with what they picked. Check the price and send the quote again. If they chose Not sure, you pick, the part says so and you pick.

Still waiting? The box has Send again and Cancel the ask. Cancelling takes the card off their order page.
