When a customer changes how they pay

Customers can switch from e-Transfer to card, or the other way, on their track page until they pay. You can switch it for them too.

A customer picked e-Transfer and meant card? They can fix it themselves. Their track page shows Paying by E-Transfer with Change how you pay.

What the customer sees

  1. On their track page, by the invoice or the payment banner, they press Change how you pay.
  2. They pick another way from the ones you offer, and press Save.
  3. Switching to card shows the new total with your card fee, if you charge one. Card payers then pay with the Pay button on the same page.

It shows only until they pay. Once any money is in, the way they pay stays as it is. A company invoice (PO) is not offered once a payment plan is due.

The change shows in the order's history, so you can see who switched and when.

Change it for them

Open the order, go to the Money tab, and on the invoice card press Change beside Paying by. Pick the new way. Switching to card adds your card fee to what they owe.
