Connect Zoho Books

Sign in with Zoho once. Invoices are made in Zoho Books at the step you pick, and card payments are recorded on them.

Zoho Books keeps your books. Layers3D makes the customer and the invoice there for you, and records the payment when they pay, so nothing is typed twice.

Zoho Books comes with the Professional plan and up.

  1. Go to Apps › Zoho Books.
  2. Press Sign in with Zoho, log in to your Zoho account and press Accept.
  3. The card says Connected, with your organisation's name and the Zoho region, like Canada (zohocloud.ca).

Zoho finds your region by itself. If it sends you to the wrong one, open Zoho sent you to the wrong region? on the card and pick yours.

Pick when the invoice is made

Under Create the Zoho invoice when an order reaches, pick a step, like Ready or Shipped. Every order that reaches it gets a draft invoice in Zoho Books with your Zoho tax. A new customer is added to Zoho first.

Pick Off: I make each invoice from the order menu to do it by hand. Open the order, press ⋯ and pick Create Zoho Books invoice….

A company can have its own step. Set it in Clients › Companies.

Nothing is ever sent to your customer from Zoho. The invoice waits as a draft for you.

Payments

  1. Record payments in Zoho Books: when a customer pays by card through Layers3D, or you mark an order paid, the payment goes on its Zoho invoice with the Stripe number.
  2. Deposit payments to: the Zoho account the money lands in. Leave it on Zoho's default (Undeposited Funds) if you are not sure.
  3. Record the Stripe fee as a bank charge: so the payment in Zoho matches what lands in your bank.

Already use Stripe's own Zoho Books link? Leave payments on. Layers3D checks Zoho first and skips an invoice that is already paid, or a payment with the same Stripe number.

Disconnect

Press Disconnect on the card. Invoices and payments already in Zoho Books stay there.
